To load, the mount tilts down 26 from the roof rack and provides 30-45% weight assistance (depending on boat width) as it helps gently raise it to the top of the vehicle. The ShowDown can securely handle 80 lbs allowing it to easily cradle a large kayak or two paddleboards.
